ABOUT
CRUISIN' CANINES
Cruisin' Canines was established in 2022 after years of training and mentoring under the tutelage of Kitty and Jim Thompson of South Paw Obedience Training. When Kitty and Jim decided to focus exclusively on competitive dog training, they passed the torch to Katie Cruise to continue the precision training necessary to establish a positive relationship between dogs and their handlers.

Katie Cruise began her training career at the age of nine when she purchased her fist border collie, Mississippi. The duo has trained in AKC rally and obedience trials and has competed at the top levels in rally including placing at the AKC Rally National Championships.

Katie's goal in training dogs and handlers through Cruisin' Canines is to establish a proper relationship between dogs and their handlers. Through various methods and techniques she has been able to encourage others to be able to enjoy their time with their dogs.
